Hollybank Rest home was opened in 1988 by Marilyn and Dave Pusey. They lived in this beautiful 1883 Victorian house whilst Marilyn was a nurse working in the local district, and it was this experience that gave her the longing to have a care home where the older people in the area could get the very best of care in a loving and family environment. In 2009, after over 20 years at the helm, Marilyn and Dave retired, and as a family business their son Glynne took over what had become a thriving and well respected local care home. In August 2013 Hollybank underwent a major refurbishment bringing a modern and luxurious feel, adding all the amenities that younger older people expect, such as Wi-Fi and frothy coffees. Hollybank never sits still, we are constantly looking at the needs of each generation, and work with them, and their families to ensure that we are at the forefront of great care.
